Kenneth, that’s amazing. What a memory to have. I’m sure there’s far more story than what you shared here. If you ever decide to write about it, please tag me. We had them in Canada, too. I had a relative that spent time in one. Back then, they apparently didn’t know pneumonia could cause delirium so he was hauled off to an asylum until they realized he was dreadfully ill, not mentally ill. So glad I didn’t live back then. My ex would have thrown me in one, for sure. Too many opinions “for a woman” — lol.
