It's true, they do. But they also only do what they have to, legally. Where I live, plastic bags disappeared from the grocery stores in a heartbeat. Doesn't matter how much consumers ask for them, the store has cloth and paper. A paper bag is a nickel, a cloth bag is 35 cents. Don't like it, bring your own bags. We need more laws changed. Politicians knock on my door, I tell them don't bother smearing the other party, i want to know what YOU are doing about climate change. We need more of that. And you're right -- it starts with awareness.
