Ironic that Christianity teaches the concept of piety as holy, but then they shun homeless people because surely they are getting what they “deserve” for not working hard enough, long enough, or thinking positive enough.

There’s no shortage of white men espousing the benefits of “positive thinking” and they seem oblivious that they’re confusing “positive thinking” with “patriarchal benefit.”

I had an interesting experience on Medium a while ago. I read 2 posts on the topic of laziness. One was a self help dude explaining how to stop being lazy. The other was a woman psychologist explaining that there’s no such thing as lazy, and how to dig into what’s holding you back. I don’t need to tell you which had 50x more claps. Yay patriarchy and positive thinking.
