In a commencement speech, Neil Gaiman once said every day he wakes up sure that’s the day someone will knock on the door. It will be a man with a clipboard. There to tell him the gig’s up, he needs to get a real job. Because he’s not that good.

And me? I don’t even write books. I am almost always sure I will wake up one day and no one will want to read what I write. That it was a lovely dream but I’m awake now. That my words are insipid. Your comments on my writing are such an antidote to those words. Send me right back into myself to find more words and what a beautiful gift that is. Thank you, too. 💗
