In 2020, there were 15.31 million children living with a single mother in the United States. About 3.27 million with a single father.

Some of them have parents or siblings that can help. But some don't. Some have no one. No safety net no matter how much they need help.

We could build a society where no one wakes up every day afraid of getting sick because there's no one to call, no one to pay the rent, no one to help. But we haven't and that's a damn shame.
