In 2008, 13 year old Aisha Duhulow was stoned to death for being raped in Somalia. Some of her family broke from the crowd and ran towards her, sobbing. The militia opened fire and killed a little boy. Her little brother, if I recall. That story has never left me. Powerful story, Carlyn. Thanks for writing it.
