I’m not American (I’m Canadian) but of course everyone wants life to go back to how it was. I want to go buy plants. I want the stores back open. But sometimes, what we want (as individuals) needs to take second place to the greater good of our fellow citizens.
There are vulnerable people who die if we do that.
Among them, all the healthcare workers who take on additional virus exposure when the rest of us are irresponsible.
So if we want this to be over as soon as possible, the way to do that is to follow what they’re saying. Stay home. Physical distancing. Because if we all just go back to work and the hospital systems crash, it’s going to take a whole lot longer to dig out of the mess we’d create.
