I’m going to ignore the insults in favor of clarifying. Following people who are interested in the same topics is not a problem, and that’s not what I’m talking about. What I’m talking about is people who follow writers solely because of their follower count and then unfollow when they don’t get followed back.

I get plenty of that, and my 12K is nothing here. There are people with 50K, 100K and 200K. I can only imagine what they get based on what I do. Don’t know where they find the patience.

I try to use humor to avoid sounding arrogant, but you can’t please everyone. Women with an opinion often get called arrogant. It’s one of the more polite insults I get.
