If they disagree respectfully and politely, I let the comment stand. If they’re being an a — hole, I hide the comment. Medium makes that real easy to do.

Personal attacks and name calling constitute being an a — hole in my thinking. Attack the idea, not the person. Or as Mama always said, you can say anything you want — how you say it is another story.

And to be clear, people are free to be a — holes if they want to be. Far be it for me to tell someone not to indulge in their hobby. But they don’t get to act that way at my kitchen table. My blog is my kitchen table. Same goes for all of us.
