If humanity has any hope at all, there needs to be complete separation of church and state. I don’t have any problem with people having their religion, and I don’t particularly care what their religion is.

What I do care is that religion has always been the driving factor behind hate, violence and bigotry and it needs to stop. People in positions of power must not be permitted to govern based on religious beliefs.
