I want to be pedantic and say ChatGPT isn't being funny. It's mimicking people who were funny. Drawing from the bank of stolen words written by people who will never be compensated for them. But that's the technology behind it and for all intents and purposes it does appear to be funny and smart and sometimes even eloquent.

All that aside, this is a beautifully written piece and I enjoyed reading it very much. Well done.
