I understand what you’re saying, but it is never up to the oppressed to educate the oppressor. If a man is not a rapist, there is no reason for him to insert himself into the conversation with cries of “#notallmen.” When a robbery is announced on the news, those same men aren’t posting to social media to say they didn’t do it. It’s up to them to figure that out, not up to women who have been raped or assaulted to educate them.
