I totally get what you're saying and SO agree in Simone Biles. At the same time, I find some of the word pairing we use these days to alienate more than explain. Toxic masculinity is a prime example. SO many men think we're saying masculinity is toxic and we lose them before there's understanding.

In the same way, I wish we could just tell people who promote "toxic positivity" that what they're saying isn't positive at all. It's just toxic and harmful and there's nothing positive about it.
