I think the world would be a little kinder if we all saved “should” for ourselves. Only I know what I should do. Only you know what you should do.

There’s a couple of other places it might be applicable. Bosses to employees. Parents to children. But adult to adult? Seldom required. That’s what live and let live means.

If I want the freedom to do things “my” way, I must extend that freedom to others as well. If I think I get to decide for myself and others, that makes me a tyrant.
