I notice you don't mention causation vs. correlation. For example, the "mirror neuron" system is smaller and less active in the male brain.

If I lift weights daily it is safe to say I will develop more muscle than if I never lift anything heavier than a sandwich.

Could it be that these "differences" in the male and female brain, while observable, may be a product of social conditioning?

If men were raised to be more empathetic is it possible that we'd see their mirror neurons bigger and more active? Yes, likely.

The study of neuroplasticity indicates that our brains don't make us, we make our brains. Change the behavior and the brain adapts.
