I love you to bits, but I don’t agree, because it’s a concept that would drag ugly situations from bad to worse.

— What about Harvey Weinstein’s poor sad wife when all that hit the media?

— What about Bill Cosby’s sad innocent wife and children?

— What about Jeffrey Dalmer’s poor sad mother?

When horrid people do horrid things, if they have innocent family, they will hurt and it’s hard to watch their pain, for sure. My heart goes out to them, too.

But if we do not shine a glaring light on the ugliness that is so pervasive among humans, then we risk inviting more ugly, not less.
