I love this. Reminds me of the days I used to argue with a college English teacher about interpretation. Just because someone "thinks" they know what the writer was saying does mean they actually do. And for what it's worth, I like your interpretation. Plus, I think it can be seen both ways. Okay, so we spent too long stringing the instrument. Oh well. There's no rewind. So just sing now.
