I have been mostly oblivious to this. I’m a single mom of a kid with health issues and I work full time, squeezing writing into the spaces. True that controversy brings in views, but I think they need to be strict about no personal attacks, period. It’s not okay. I used to write on another site (long ago) called Open Salon. Personal attacks and infighting among writers was part of what killed the site. Between vitriol and robots, the parent company threw in the towel and took the site down. If Ev ever decided to say f — k y’all and shut the site down, we’d miss it more than he would. You know?
