I don't think Zulie is correct. Back when Ev did that Verge interview he'd said the paid publications weren't where new readers were coming from and were not bringing in enough new readers to justify what they were paying, that's why they axed them.

So I don't think they are getting rid of publications, just the ones that cost more than they brought in. :)
