I don’t know enough about Thanatos or Eros orientation. Much of what you say rings so true. There are people who would find a living thing to be worth more than any possession. And others who would, as we say, sell their own mother if the price was right.
But I can tell you what I think of every time I read your writing.
When I read your writing, I think of Viktor Frankl. Of his writing after surviving Auschwitz, where he says we are wrong to judge and divide along lines of race, creed, color, gender and such.
There are only 2 kinds of people, he says. Those who have the capacity for evil, and those who do not. As we know, all that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing. To me, that describes the world we live in.
Using your words, I think we already have many Eros people. But we also have too many who care more for profit than people. And I don’t know what it would take to get better people in power. I wish I did.
