I am so glad your wife understands the need to write. Don’t think we writers could turn that off if we tried. I know I sure can’t.

But fun! Gardening! I have been putting in a garden, too. Grew the veggies from seeds, too. How magic is that, put a seed in dirt and get food. It’s like magic, every year. I have blue pumpkins and candy roaster squash and one called mashed potato squash because when you roast it, the inside tastes like mashed potatoes. Last year I had white tomatoes which were wonderful but I’m trying purple and rainbow ones this year. Also rainbow carrots. All those years as a farmer’s child and had no idea food comes in such fun colors. You should poke around rareseeds.com. Get ideas for next year’s garden.
