How Do You Raise Kids To Be Honest When Teachers Prefer AI?

Teachers say AI is a detriment to education but they give better grades to students who use it.

AI is everywhere and has gotten so good most people can’t tell human writing from AI anymore. While that’s a problem on the internet as a whole, it’s an even bigger problem in the school system.

A public school in Maryland did an experiment. Sat three public school English teachers down, gave them each six essays. Said find the AI.

What they didn’t tell the teachers is that three of the six essays were written by students, the other three were entirely written with AI.

They couldn’t tell which was AI. No surprise because professionals have been telling us humans aren’t good at detecting AI and it’s getting worse. New studies show even linguists can’t identify AI accurately now.

Two of the teachers spotted at least one AI essay, but one of the teachers tagged a student essay as AI. It was too good, she said and was stunned to find out the paper was actually written by a student, not by AI.
