Honestly, I wish more of them would go back to the ad-supported model. It gets tiresome. I pay Medium and Vocal, couple of Substack pubs, National Geographic... it adds up.

That said, I would like to just be able to pay to read "an" article on sites I read less frequently, but I'd much rather have credits than micropayments. Micropayments end up making more money for the banks because of transaction fees and wouldn't support the media outlet as much as one might think. Banks don't need more support, they already have more than any other business does.
