Hey Jim. Well that sucks to hear. I am beginning to think their app just sucks. On desktop, we can choose to have our feed show their suggestions or people we follow. Lots of folk have told me the app doesn’t have that feature.

I kind of also wonder if they are trying to force people to sign up for email notifications. Which is another entire kettle of fish because I just had to jump through hoops to figure out how to whitelist Medium at the server level because I wasn’t getting the emails I should have been getting.

Sure wish they’d fix some of this stuff. I don’t see half the readers I want to read either, but it’s somehow worse to know it’s not just me.

On top of it, that “related” column makes me irrationally angry. If someone clicks to read something, Medium shouldn’t be trying to entice the reader away with a sidebar. It really stinks.
