Gah — hot button! Too many people think selfish means “she’s not doing what I want her to.”

Because, of course, the dictionary says it means lacking consideration for other people. Which *I* will interpret to mean as an overall kind of thang, while others look at it as more situation specific.

For some of us, saying no is the least selfish thing we can do. Sometimes, backing away quietly before I turn into the hulk is the least selfish thing I can do. lol.
