From the footage I’ve watched, he seemed to be a soft spoken and severely introverted man until he had a couple of drinks. Couple of drinks in, best to leave him alone because he got more crass than his books. lol. Another layer on top is that people who have only ever known trauma and abuse often surround themselves with people who have had similar experiences, familiarity being what it is. More layers than an onion. :)
