Demographics were originally used to monitor population growth. Somewhere along the way, marketers decided they were a good way to identify customer groups. Sometimes they are, but more often psychographics are more effective than demographics. But when it comes to writing, I think lumping entire generations together by birth year leads to sweeping generalizations that are more inaccurate than accurate. Are you sure you don’t like sports? Being a man, and all that? lol
