Can you clarify how you define reading time? I can’t imagine you literally mean “time spent on page” because a lot of people read using multiple tabs. If I go to the homepage and open 6 articles to read, all in separate tabs, then the time spend on each page would look pretty significant.

If you don’t literally mean time on page, how do you define reading time?
ie; If an 6 minute read is only half read, does it count the same as a 3 minute read that’s completely read? Except, it can’t mean “how much” of an article is read, because some people read 200 words/min & others read 600 words/min so you’d have no way to really know that.

I hope the change works well for many writers, but sure would help if we understood how you define reading time.
