Brene Brown has degrees in social work and philosophy. What she isn't, is a psychologist. Narcisism is a spectrum. We all have some degree of it. So why do some people tip over into full on narcissism? If you read the work of Dr. Richard Schwartz who's been a psychologist for 35 years, he'll tell you narcissim is often the result of childhood abuse or trauma. We need more talks from people who are qualified on the topic, and less from those who (really) aren't. I enjoy Brown's books, too, but I feel like maybe she's out of her wheelhouse on this topic.
