Anyone can build a website. Website builders aren’t new, they’ve been around for 20 years in one iteration or another.
Building a website that works is a different story. Most websites convert at single digits, usually under 2%. Wix websites aren’t much better than the old Frontpage or Homestead sites were two decades ago. Fixing the poor performance of websites has been the basis of my business for 23 years.
A designer who brings marketing and conversion to the table will always be needed. The problem is that most designers don’t stick around long enough to see how a site converts when the “designing” is done. Those designers, a tool can replace. Nice read. :)
