And that's just parenting typical kids. If parents are real lucky, their kids grow up and head off into the big world to repeat the whole mess, which is a whole other topic. But there are parents still taking care of kids at 50 and 60 and beyond because they had a kid with mental or physical challenges and the world gives a damn even less. Because they "chose" to have kids. The exhaustion becomes eternal with no finish line in sight.
