This experience you wrote about is what patriarchy is; the subtle perception that men’s ideas and words are somehow more valid. And when women share their experience, they are often disregarded. Surely it can’t *really* be that bad, right?

And that’s the experience for a white woman. Try being Black or Hispanic. It only gets worse.
