Agreed. Some of us were oblivious because we didn’t know. Others were oblivious because they knew and didn’t care. I don’t know, but I half wonder if her book inspired red dress day. Her book came out in 1985, and the first red dress day was 2010. I remember going to a local red dress memorial. I’d just lost my Dad, who worked with the indigenous community and just crying for all the losses. Theirs and mine.
